First we analyse the effects of pension systems on intragenerational redistribution. Then we focus our attention on the relationships between life expectancy, inequality and growth. Finally we study the implications of introducing child care in the human capital production function for the assessment of the effects of labor income taxation on growth. The methodology used in this research relies on a balanced mix of theoretical analysis and computational experiments. All the work is developed within the Overlapping Generations (OLG) framework.
